Jill’s family portrait session
I met Jill through my photography for corporate clients, and she liked my style enough to schedule a family photo session for the spring season months in advance (advance planning FTW!). We “borrowed” the gorgeous grounds of her friend’s foothills home, and made a whole variety of fun family photos in the beautiful late afternoon sunshine. Here are a few faves!

Isaac’s first portrait session
Kathy and Brian were one of my favorite wedding couples from the fall of 2009, and I was delighted when they called about a family shoot with their 14 month old son, Isaac. We had a blast in the house and backyard, and just let Isaac call the shots. The photos of him and his beloved hat have kind of a “baby Mad Men” quality to them that I love.
Fall Family and Engagement Portraits on Mt. Lemmon
This year I decided to combine two of my favorite things – fall leaves and photography – by offering portraits sessions on Mt. Lemmon. I spent a couple full days of fun in the leaves with Chip asked Carol, Myles and Aimee, Jaycie and Jeff, Kim and Elijah, and Ricky and Cara. It was a patricuallrly special session for Chip and Carol because he asked her to marry him in Mt. Lemmon’s Spencer Canyon, so for their engagement session, we headed back up there. I’d hoped to catch the brief but glorious fall color, and we timed it just right!
Here are a few of my favorites – I really can’t get enough of those gorgeous maples with their incredible range of colors. I’ll be headed back up this week to catch the last of them if anyone wants to come! This will definitely have to become an annual event.
