Rachel and Gabe make the pages of the Tucson Lifestyle Wedding Issue!

Rachel and Gabe, who had one of the coolest “rainy” weddings I’ve ever been to, got this snazzy spread in the Tucson Lifestyle wedding spring 2012 issue that’s just hitting stands! I’d like to get in a quick shout out to riding buddy Andy Depew, whose Satyr Entertainment also got a mention in the same profile. His huge “old school” incandescent lighting set up is SO much better for classy dance floor photography than the more common cheesy laser madness you see everywhere, which can feel like a bad nightclub. It takes him longer to set up, and that stuff weighs a ton (I know, I’ve helped pack it up before!) but boy does it make for better lighting and ambiance. He’s the only DJ in town I know of who still takes the time to do it that way.

Normally I’m a bit sad about all the great photos that didn’t make it into the magazines when one of our weddings is profiled, but I think the crew over there did a pretty good job with this one, especially considering how many I photos love. (Thanks Debby!) You can see a few more of my favorite photos here.  Congrats Rachel and Gabe – we’re working on your awesome album right now!

Arizona Daily Star: My photograph is on the front page!

The Arizona Daily Star surprised me by running one of my photographs from 2006 on the front page. It was kind of cool to see my work on A1 even though I haven’t worked there in almost four years!

Houston Chronicle: Arizonans and Texans pulling for Giffords’ return

I picked up an assignment for the Houston Chronicle this week. You can check it out at Arizonans and Texans pulling for Giffords’ return.

They only ran one photo, but I had to share more with you. I got there at dawn and the morning light was gorgeous.

New York Times: Lawmakers Debate Effect of Weapons on Campus

A few times a year, I still take photojournalism assignments from the New York Times. I had a photo run in the Sunday paper with a story about lawmakers debating the effect of weapons on campus. Check it out: www.nytimes.com/2011/02/27/us/politics/27guns.html

See us in Tucson Bride and Groom!

The latest issue of Tucson Bride and Groom hit my mailbox a few minutes ago featuring tons of shots of four fab couples of mine! Splashed across the pages, you find Kari and Mike, Shanon and Eric, Hope and Geoff and Cynthia and Merwyn, who scored a full story on their Bollywood extravaganza – no surprise Anne Bryan of Creative Events planned that one – she’s everywhere in the magazine as well!

We are thrilled to have so many weddings in the newest issue. We didn’t have the cover this time, but that’s ok – we were on the cover of the last two issues! Check them out, if you missed them the first time around.
