Chris Richards is an award-winning photographer and photojournalist whose work has been published on the front page of the New York Times and in Rolling Stone Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune and others. He began his professional career as a staff photographer the Arizona Daily Star, where he spent a decade documenting the rhythms of life in Southern Arizona.
Chris now devotes his time to photographing family portraits, engagement portraits, seniors, weddings and other celebrations using his specialized method of lighthearted documentary photography and painless portraiture. His vibrant, modern and fun-loving style captures special moments and tells visual stories with genuine emotion, beautiful light and a gentle touch of humor and joy. Chris is based in Southern Arizona, but regularly photographs weddings around the country and is available for destination weddings worldwide.
Chris lives in Tucson with his beautiful and talented wife, Sarah, and two adorable furry kittens, Polly and Scout. In his free time, he likes to hike and ride bicycles.
Chris has been honored with “Best of the Knot” photographer awards four years running and has earned membership in the elite International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers and Professional Photographers of America.
