Chris Richards is an award-winning photojournalist based in Tucson, Arizona. His work has been published internationally, on the front page of the New York Times, in Rolling Stone Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, USA Today, The L.A. Times, The Chicago Tribune and elsewhere. He began his professional career as a staff photographer the Arizona Daily Star, where he spent a decade documenting the rhythms of life in southern Arizona.
Now he devotes his time to photographing families and their special celebrations in Tucson and around the country. His style is an easily-recognizable combination of visual storytelling, genuine emotion and beautiful light, with a gentle touch of humor and joy. He lives with his beautiful and talented soon-to-be-wife, Sarah, and two adorable furry kittens, Polly and Scout. In his free time, he likes to ride bicycles.

Chris has been honored with “Best of the Knot” photographer awards three years running and has earned membership in the elite International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers and Professional Photographers of America.
